Welcome to REALTOR University, where VAR, in
conjunction with NAR, offers continuing education credit for
Internet-based courses to those holding a real estate license in
Virginia.
Here’s how it works:
The
continuing education online courses that are approved are divided into
units. Participants can enter and exit courses at their convenience,
while attendance is tracked electronically. Only when a course has been
completed - and the minimum attendance requirement has been met and
verified - will a certificate of completion be sent out by VAR. The
courses currently approved for continuing education are:
- Fair Housing and Real Estate (3 Hours Fair Housing Continuing Education Credit)
- Environmental Hazards and Selling Real Estate (3 Hours Real Estate Related Continuing Education Credit)
- Creative Residential Finance (3 Hours Real Estate Related Continuing Education Credit)
- Lead Paint Disclosures: It's the Law (3 Hours Real Estate Related Continuing Education Credit)
- Essentials of International Real Estate (1 Hour Fair Housing; 4 Hours Real Estate Related Continuing Education Credit)
There
are other courses also listed for professional development only and are
not approved for continuing education credit in Virginia.
Knowledge
assessment and reinforcement are conducted using quizzes, case studies
and discussions. Participants communicate through e-mail, threaded
discussions and online classrooms with an instructor and fellow
students. Those unfamiliar with using these functions are invited to
enroll in a free course demonstration.

- Library
- Webliography
