A 2007 public opinion survey found that homeowners in Virginia were eager to join an organization that could look after and represent their best interests. VAR, along with your local association, are proud to fulfill that desire by providing homeowners with the Virginia Homeowners Alliance (VHA). The VHA is an exciting new organization provided by REALTORS® to help homeowners protect their most treasured investment, their home. It’s not an organization with boring meetings and bureaucracy, but rather a website that provides homeowners with resources to improve the value of their home and keep up with local government decisions that affect their home, community and quality of life. By joining VHA, homeowners can stay informed of all the latest news relating to real estate taxes, property assessments, new residential and commercial developments, transportation, school construction and a host of other issues affecting their home and neighborhood. Through the Alliance website, they can easily contact local government bodies and gain access to a variety of valuable resources ranging from tips on lawn care to report cards on local schools. There’s even a “Kids’ Room” where children and parents can access practice SOL tests and learn more about the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Virginia Homeowners Alliance gives you a unique opportunity to stay connected and relevant to past, present and future clients, and to be more than just a salesman. Become your clients’ trusted advisor by providing them with this valuable resource. Visit our promotional toolkit to find easy ways to promote the Alliance amongst your clients, friends, neighbors and colleagues.
