Virginia REALTOR® Hall of Fame Members

Ralph Anderson, Virginia Beach
Mr. Anderson served as Executive Vice President of the Virginia Association of Realtors from 1979 to 1993. He is currently retired and living in Virginia Beach.

Dorcas Helfant-Browning, Virginia Beach
Ms. Helfant-Browning of Coldwell Banker Professional served as the first woman president of the National Association of REALTORS® in 1990, and was VAR President in 1984. She received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 1987.

Dennis Cronk, Roanoke
Mr. Cronk of Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group served as president of the National Association of REALTORS® in 2000, and was VAR President in 1988. He received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 1993.

Sandee Ferebee, Virginia Beach
Ms. Ferebee is president of GSH Real Estate, was VAR President in 1990. She received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 1994, and is a dedicated and involved REALTOR® and community volunteer.

Joe Funkhouser, Harrisonburg
Mr. Funkhouser of Coldwell Banker Funkhouser Realtors is a national Distinguished Service Award recipient, and was VAR President in 1986. He served as Chairman of the Virginia Real Estate Board for six years, and received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 1989.

Steve Hoover, Roanoke
Mr. Hoover of MKB, REALTORS® is a national Distinguished Service Award recipient, and served as VAR President in 1992. He received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 1996. He was NAR’s Vice President and Liaison to Committees and a member of the Executive Committee in 2006.

Tom Jefferson, III, Richmond
Mr. Jefferson of Jefferson-Jones, Inc. was VAR President in 1997. He is a past NAR Region 3 Vice President, and is a national Distinguished Service Award recipient.

Crawley Joyner, Richmond
Mr. Joyner of Joyner Fine Properties was VAR President in 1987. He received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 1992.

Al Matacia, Charlottesville
Mr. Matacia of Matacia Real Estate, Inc. was a director for NAR from 1988-1994, and a member of VAR’s Board of Directors for fourteen years.

Renee Miller, Great Falls
Ms. Miller of Weichert, REALTORS® was VAR President in 1998, and currently serves as NAR’s Region 3 Vice President. She received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 2004.

Fred Morene, Hopewell
Mr. Morene of the Ford Agency, Inc. is Treasurer Emeritus of the Virginia Association of REALTORS®, and has served in volunteer positions at all three levels of the REALTOR® organization since 1963. He received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 1995.

Jack O’Donohue, Fairfax Station
Mr. O’Donohue of Trust Properties received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 2005. A longtime legislative advocate for the profession, he has testified and spoken on behalf of the REALTOR® organization before local and state lawmakers and the Virginia Real Estate Board.

Bill Overacre, Lynchburg
Mr. Overacre is president and owner of Re/Max 1st Olympic. He served as VAR President in 1983, and is a recipient of NAR’s prestigious Distinguished Service Award. He received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 1988.

Tom Stevens, Vienna
Mr. Stevens is president and owner of Coldwell Banker Residential and senior vice president of NRT, Inc. He served as president of the National Association of REALTORS® in 2006, and was VAR President in 1989. He received Virginia’s REALTOR® of the Year award in 1991.

Pat Widhalm, Scottsville
Ms. Widhalm of Real Estate III, Inc. has been a REALTOR® for 31 years, and continually active as a volunteer for the organization since 1981. She has been a Certified Ethics Instructor and Professional Standards Instructor for more than 20 years.
