Kathy Vaughan
Kathy Vaughan has been teaching since 1976. She began her career teaching English and History to junior high and high school students. After seven years teaching in public schools, Kathy transitioned to corporate training and has trained and developed training programs on a wide variety of topics. Kathy Vaughan has been a REALTOR® since 1993 and has managed her own real estate brokerage firm since 1996, bringing her focus on training from the corporate world to the real estate industry.
Her real estate firm is licensed as a proprietary real estate school in Virginia and a variety of the courses Kathy has personally written are approved for continuing education and post licensing education in Virginia. Kathy is also licensed as a pre-licensing instructor in Virginia, a member of the faculty of the Realtor Institute in Virginia, and a certified VHDA trainer.
She is currently the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX CitySide in Annandale and is licensed to practice real estate in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia. Kathy has lived in Fairfax County since 1983.
Candice C. Bower
Candice Bower is the Managing Broker of the Leesburg office of Keller Williams Realty. Her responsibilities include oversight of approximately 160 sales agents, review and approve all transactions, and develop, schedule and conduct weekly sales training for the agents.
She has been active in Real Estate since 1983 and has been a resident of Northern Virginia since 1993. She has received the CRS, ABR, and GRI designations, and has completed the Quality Service Certification and is qualified to be a Quality Service Certified Instructor.
During her real estate career, Candice has received extensive training, and been involved in providing sales training to her sales force, in land, commercial and residential real estate leasing and sales.
Candice is a member of the Dulles Area Association of Realtors where she has served on its Board of Directors since 2005 and has been appointed Chairman-Elect for 2008. She is 2007 Chairman of the R-Pac Committee, a 2006 & 2007 member of the Budget and Finance Committee, a 2007 member of the Governmental Affairs Committee, the 2005 and 2006 Chairman of the Awards Committee, and a 2005 & 2006 member of the DAAR Honor Society. She is also a member of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, the Virginia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Candice is a graduate of the 2006 class of the Virginia Association of Realtors Leadership Academy and is a member of the Virginia Association of Realtors Professional Advocacy Group, the Standard Forms Work Group and the Model Convention Work Group. She is a 2006 VAR Honor Society Member, and is Vice President of Programs for the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors.
Matthew Rathbun, Associate Broker, ABR, ABRM, ASR, e-PRO, GRI, RECS, SRES
Matthew Rathbun is a Virginia Associate Broker and Training Coordinator for his company. He has spent the past several years as the Education Chair for the Fredericksburg Association of REALTORS®. As a Residential REALTOR®, Matthew has been a reoccurring Top Producer and past REALTOR® Rookie of the Year. He has also managed and developed agents since early in his career.
Matthew has been teaching adults for many years, he currently teaches various REALTOR® programs to include GRI. He is a Certified Ethics Instructor, Licensed Fair Housing Instructor and teaches Pre-licensing and Broker courses. He also is a REBAC instructor, teaching ABR, ABRM and SRES courses. Matthew continues to serve as Chair and member of many work groups in the Fredericksburg Association of REALTORS and on the Professional Development Advocacy Group for the Virginia Association of REALTORS®.
He is also a current member of the 2007 VAR Leadership Academy, the Real Estate Educators Association and the Real Estate Buyers Agency Counsel.
Matthew is also a Certified Relocation Specialist, Accredited Buyer Representative and Accredited Buyer Rep Manager, an Accredited Seller Representative, Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute, Real Estate Cyber Specialist, Senior Real Estate Specialist, e-PRO certified and Certified Mediator.
