If you are not a REALTOR®, there is an annual fee of $85.00 per year for Commercial, International, Property Management and Relocation or $75.00 for licensed apprasiers.

The current specialty groups of VAR - Appraisal Alliance, Commercial Council, International Group, Property Management Council and Relocation Council - continue to grow and to tailor communication and education to fit each specialty. VAR is exploring other possible specialty groups. Let us know what areas you would be interested in.
The Purpose and Objectives of the specialty groups are also similar: To serve the specialized needs of individuals with a specialty interest in appraisal, commercial, international, property management and/or relocation with emphasis on education, networking, legislative issues, regulatory, and other; and to be the business advocate for professional relocation/referral specialists in the Commonwealth of Virginia."
Benefits of participating in the specialty groups include: * Enhance the professionalism, knowledge, and public image of the real estate specialists members. * Provide an extensive, meaningful and unified voice on regulatory and legislative issues. * Serve as a liaison with other real estate specialty groups. * Provide economic benefits for members by identifying products, services and educational opportunities. * Add to the body of knowledge in the specialists profession. * Legislative updates, calls to action, drafts and periodic reports on legislative and regulatory activities that pertain to the specialty area. * Communication via email that provides information on relevant issues in that real estate specialist profession. * Calendar of educational offerings throughout the state compiled and disseminated
