Purpose - To serve the Legislative, Regulatory, Educational and other specialized needs of individuals with an interest in property management and leasing; and to assist the Virginia Association of REALTORS® to be the business advocate for property managers in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Objectives
Enhance professionalism, knowledge and public image of property management and leasing members
Goals
*Develop an introduction to property management education program and have approved for CE credit and as an elective GRI module
*Improve recognition of property managers at the local level *Offer education opportunities at both VAR major meetings *Schedule and deliver a minimum of two additional education programs in addition to those scheduled during the VAR major meetings

Serve as a liaison with other property management groups and provide networking opportunities
Goals
*Develop a working relationship with NARPM (National Association of Residential Property Managers) and IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) Chapters in Virginia *Coordinate and cooperate with local Association property management groups *Enhance the property management section of the VAR web site by including a bulletin board area
Objective
Provide a voice for local Associations and members with an interest in property management
Goals
*Continue to increase the number of interested individuals by promoting the Property Management Council to VAR members and other property managers
*Continue representation of property managers in VAR legislative arena
*Build a legislative contact network for calls to action and other legislative/regulatory needs
*Develop a liaison system with local Association property management groups
Objective
Provide economic benefits to members by identifying products, services and benefits
Goals
*Compile and distribute electronically a quarterly newsletter *Establish a bulletin board on the Property Management section of the VAR web site
*Continue to serve as the central source of information for property mangers in Virginia
