Richmond – Kurt Negaard, Managing Broker with Napier REALTORS ERA in Richmond, received the 2007 Manager of the Year Award during the Virginia Association of REALTORS’ (VAR) annual awards banquet, held February 14 in Richmond.
Recognizing excellence in real estate management, the VAR Manager of the Year Award recognizes a Realtor manager who shows a commitment to personal education and internal or external education and training supplied to Associates. Business and civic accomplishments, as well as innovation and creativity in management including Associate recruitment and retention, are a part of the criteria for nomination.
A Realtor since 1988, Negaard holds the ABR, CRS, and GRI designations, and has received several awards including the REALTOR of the Year award from the Richmond Association of REALTORS (RAR) and the VAR Sales Associate of the Year in 2003. A graduate of the Virginia Realtor Leadership Academy, Negaard has also served on the VAR Policy Board, 2003-2005; the RAR Board of Directors, 1997-1999; 2002-2005, and as RAR President in 2004.
