Richmond – Don Mathias, managing broker for GSH Real Estate in Virginia Beach, was presented the VAR Ann Swearingen Residential Property Manager of the Year award for 2007 during the Virginia Association of REALTORS’ (VAR) annual awards banquet in Richmond on Feb. 14.
The award, named in honor of Virginia Realtor Ann Swearingen, is presented annually to a Virginia residential property manager in recognition of individual achievement in the industry.
A Realtor since 1990 and a member of the Hampton Roads Realtors Association (HRRA), Mathias participated in and led the Association’s efforts in property management, professional standards and education. In 2000, he sold his property management company to GSH Real Estate and now oversees their property management division. He serves on the HRRA board of directors and in other leadership roles, and is an active participant in VAR’s Property Management Advisory Council.
